Diary Dates!

With it reported that we’re all rushing to go to as many events as possible (since we can once again), summer of 2022 is looking packed full of fun. But which events should you prioritise? And what preparations need to be done?

We give our top tips on this years’ best go-to events…

Wimbledon

As the oldest tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon remains the tennis event of the year. Whether you have an exclusive Centre Court ticket or are simply going to sit on ‘Murray Mound’ (AKA Henman Hill) and eat strawberries & cream, this really is a fabulously British day out.

When? 27th June till 10th July

What to wear? Smart comfortable casual

Buy tickets? Yes. Prices vary from £70 to watch a match, or from £20 for ground passes, for the day. Tickets are distributed via the official Wimbledon Mobile App on iOS/Android, which will be updated for release very soon (see the Wimbledon website: wimbeldon.com)

Goodwood Revival

The Goodwood Revival is the world’s greatest historic motor race meeting, and the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme. More than just an unrivalled weekend of historic racing, it is an immersive celebration of a less disposable world, where “make do and mend” was a way of life rather than a casual slogan.

It promotes a thoroughly modern ethos – to “reduce, reuse, repair, restore and recycle” – in the most authentic way possible. All the cars are original, having been lovingly maintained since new, many of the outfits have been handed down through generations, and even the retailers specialise in pre-owned artefacts – everything from clothes and accessories to automobilia and books.

It is, proudly, the world’s biggest and most glamorous second-hand event.

When? 16th to 18th September

What to wear? 40s, 50s and 60s vintage fashion! For ladies, it’s also worth booking in to ‘Betty’s Salon’ on site for the morning of your visit. Click here for more attire info.

Buy tickets? Yes. They can be purchased for your chosen day of Goodwood Revival here.
